Of course you can use the Wii zapper because the Wii zapper is the Wiimote you already have, it's just called the zapper once you clip it into the bit of plastic to make it gun shape.
You could probably make one just as easy.

Of course you can, and if you really get clever you can make a Wii laptop out of cardboard too, LOL
