Combat Arms Wont Run

When I try to start CA, it turns my computer to 8-bit color. My computer is a Dell XPS Professional w/ a ATI Radeon 4800 Graphics Card, and a 24" Monitor. canyourunit.com says i should run it perfectly. I've tried this with my firewall and anti-virus disabled. No luck. After it turns it to 8-bit color, it either freezes my screen and i can move my mouse every 10 seconds, or it starts up then slows down significantly when you see the guy on the bottom running. Help please.

Try this, right click CA then go to properties then go to compatiblity then set compatiblity mode for windows 98
