When playing against friends (doesn't work in random matches) you are allowed 5 premade phrases. When you taunt you will say that phrase. Thats the only form of chat/communication you get.

Hey, it's better than nothing. and I thought the taunt news was common knowledge...
In any case, you should customize like 2 for victory, and 2 for a loss or an insult.

Something like:
* (character name), ftw!
* How long have you been playing this exactly? XD
* You got lucky.

Stuff like that.
