Chat channel (Please read)

Does anyone think there should be some form of chat channel? Similar to MSN or AOL messenger services?
I think it would be kinda cool

It would be good by nintedno is always super safe, it wont happen because nintendo is scared that some child is going to meet up with a pervert.

but the wii has parental controls... so they could have channels for different age groups, and the wii can stop kids going into the wrong channels... also for ADULT kind of chat, then they would have to verify a credit card or something to gain log in details...

Well, you can already send your buddies messages. I never go online to chat anyway, so I wouldn't use a Wii Chat Channel.

if you had it so that you have to add friends... it won't be like a chat room... hence making it a little safer... so if you can only add your buddies then security wouldn't be much of an issue

you can chat with your wii friends. you can chat at a community like this. there's no need for it.

It's never going to happen, nintendo are too child friendly. Making it less fun online than competitors.
