Worst Nightmare you've had

There's a thread on here that asks "What's the best dream you've had?"
As this thread's title suggests, this one is just the opposite, about your worst nightmare.

Mine was of a bunch of zombies, gargoyles, vampires, etc. coming after me for everywhere I went. It was a lot like a horror movie. I'd be in a dark room and realize that something evil was in there, then i'd turn around and it would be right there, staring me in the face. I usually managed to escape, but only to be faced by other monsters.
Near the end of the dream, I was running from a pack of werewolves and I saw some people up ahead. I tried to yell to them, but my voice was gone. Then, suddenly, I was moving a ton slower, and the werewolves were closing in. Just as they pounced on me, I jolted up in my bed and hit my head against the cieling (I was in the top of a bunk bed)
It didn't stop aching for a few days.

My worst one was when I was like 10 or so and I were being chased by a huge tiger down my street, I kept on running and running but no matter what the tiger kept on being right behind me. Was quite scary at that time...

Umm worst would be that if i ever was under the misfortune to come across such a terrifying mare, but the worst i have had would be when i went into the bathroom and saw some dirty water...drank it and my face caved in.. i tried to screem but i couldn't

You drank toilet water in your dream? A bit odd. Then again dreams don't make sense.

lees see this happend about a day after i first played doom 3 (after all that game is horrifying)

but yeah im in the position of the player, in a remote research base on mars. demons and zombies all around me and seeking to kill me. and the environment (flickering lights, blood, dead bodies, pentagrams etc) it really scared the *poop* out of me.

but luckily i awoke before i was killed, which i was mad at bcuz i wanted to see me die in this alternate reality (i woke up sweating and stuff like that) but it was a cool expirience and i never stopped playing doom 3 and i even got the expansion pack (obsessive much?)

I had a freaky dream when I was about 11- a sharp-toothed, fire-eyed clown was chasing after me with a bloody dagger. Thus my paranoia of clowns.
I also had a dream that the Knights of Ni threatened to set a werewolf loose on me if I didn't cut down a big tree with a fish. I jolted up in my bed, thought for a moment, then laughed my head off. This was after I saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the fifth time.

It.
That's all I have to say. It's about the movie, 'It.' I'm terrified by it. You see, I'm afraid of clowns.

But I must admit that I haven't had a nightmare since... since... uh... since a very long time. Not only was I unable to dream for a long time, I didn't have a nightmare for a long time too.

There was something else that is a bit between the best dream I've ever had and the worst nightmare I've ever had. It started out as the best I've ever had, but it ended as the worst nightmare I've ever had. I am desperate to forget about it though.

Hey! Wulf! Long time no see!
Srry, getting off subject...
I just had a freaky dream last night-
I was on a date with this girl, and we went to Jack-in-the-Box to get a quick dinner. I was just about to eat my burger, when a huge spider crawled out of it and jumped on my face.
*shivers uncontrollabley* I hate spiders. They creep me out.

No, the dream itself was great. I managed to do something in the dream I couldn't do in real life back then - but can now, would I meet that person again, but as we lost contact since a year already, it's quite hard - but the dream lead to a conclusion that I didn't want to know. Not only did the end of that dream scare me so incredibly much, it is very likely that that dream was the reason why I have been unable to dream for such a long time.

people are scared of death/killing/violence within certian situations, while others take a more sardistic look at it with great pleasure, i mean, im so quiet at school and mainy just say hi all the time, people thinks its weird how im so nutreal(or how ever you spell it) in dicing up a sheeps eye in class or drawing massive beasts tearing kids and such to peices.
anyway, nightmares and dreams, they r so powerful, but i think if you have a nightmare, somethin is mentally wrong with you and that your mind is showing you the path way out by using fear.

Nightmares are only dreams that end up bad. When you find the right theory about dreams, you'll immediately have your answer for a nightmare as well. It isn't bad to have a nightmare, but I speak for us all when I say that I'd rather have none.

Though that fits me perfectly. Because of that dream... nightmare... whatever you want to name it, I mentioned, I am pretty sure it was the cause for me being unable to dream. I tried to avoid getting so... scared again. Which I was successful in, I guess.

Wulf, when you say, "people are scared of death/killing/violence, it is only natural. When we look at death, humanity knows awfully little about it, because there isn't a way to research it. Someone who 'dies' completely, cannot come back and tell the tale of how it was. Therefore, research of death is only limited.
Killing often goes against the principes of many people - me, as example - because it is (often) an action that cannot be undone. Especially those who believe in 'something', will find it quite a subject to be avoided. Violence falls a bit the same, though that is something I am always willing to start a discussion about.
Of course, there are people who'll like it too - not me, in this example - but that's only a matter of taste, and something I can only understand to a certain limit. But everyone is quite different from each other when it comes to that.

Still, I haven't had a nightmare since a long time...
