So I put a new video card in my comp today (ATI 9250), and now my loss is way up in the 400 to 600ms range and my ping is in the 200s. Anyone know what could be wrong.

And my cl_updaterate is 20 and my cl_cmdrate is 20.

Ok so what was the previous card installed, the settings on the noob one, and ultimately what fps are u reading out when playin on a busy server. I just popped in a GeForce 7800 GTX and I really had to fuk with the settings for about a day before getting the right combination. PM me if u got questions or problems......

I had the stock bs intel card with 512mb of ram. I was getting chock with that.


Now I have the new card and 1gb of ram. I am getting choke in the 200 to 2000 range with the updaterate set on 20.

And I am also getting sendpacket errors and getting kicked.

i dunno man i never had that problem ...you could try deleting the clientregistry blob...that usually works..if it doesnt maybe reinstall steam i kno its a 30 min pain in the ass but it might help
