Can't Start Game

Ok i got my previous crashing problem fixed but now, whenever i start CA, HSUpdater runs, goes away, and then the little screen comes up for a few seconds. After that my screen flashes black and then nothing happens.

Here is my comp info:
Wndows XP
Celeron 2.40 GHz
768 MB of RAM
Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics
Version 9.0
20.2 GB of Hard Disc Space
DSL

any suggestions?

I also just patched it could this be a problem?
