The Legacy of Kelendras

So I've pretty much given up on my Icewind Dale campaign: it was too complicated.

Instead, I'm going to work on one that is within the Warcraft universe. It's kind of a role playing game, in which you are an elven warrior named Kelendras Stardragon. You also get to play as his best friend, Falanor Viperius, and an orc named Kazragore Demonsbane.

The story starts out when the alliance is fighting the orcs on Draenor at the end of Warcraft 2. Two of the warriors fighting in this battle are Kelendras Stardragon, and his friend, Falanor Viperius. After Ner'zhul creates all of the portals that start to tear the world apart, Falanor rushes through the portal and back into Azeroth, but Kelen remains to keep the orcs at bay while Khadgar destroys the portal. After the explosion caused by the portals, Kelen wakes up amongst the ruins of Draenor, and he wanders the ruined world for years.
Meanwhile, back in Azeroth, Kazragore Demonsbane, chieftain of the Searing Axe Clan, helps spring Orgrim Doomhammer out of prison, and then goes wandering throughout the world, gathering together what is left of his Clan, which was mostly destroyed by Gul'Dan when he betrayed the Horde.
After wandering the wastes of Draenor for well over twenty years, Kelendras is met by a rogue blood elf, who tells him of the destruction of Quel'Thalas, and how many of the elves joined Prince Kael'Thas, renaming themselves the blood elves.
Kelendras finds himself disliking the blood elves because of their obsession with magic, and leaves them. He continues to travel for a couple more years, until he suddenly comes upon a portal. Not knowing where it leads, but no longer wishing to stay on Draenor, he goes through, and is lucky to find himself in Azeroth... only to be captured by orcs shortly afterwards.
He is interrogated by the orcs, a small band led by Kazragore, and they eventually decide that he does not mean them any harm. He tells them he needs to get back to Quel'Thalas. The orcs, after much discussion, decide to let him go, and Kazragore himself even decides to escort the elf, feeling up for a new adventure after living in solitude for over twenty years.
And it is during this time that Archimonde is finally summoned into the world...

That is all I'm going to reveal of the story now. You'll have to play the game to know what happens.

Note: This has been changed because of previous incidents in which I lost my models for the original Legacy of Kelendras

Gameplay: In the game, you will only get to control one character at a time. If you summon any monsters or hire mercenaries, you won't really be able to control them, but they will automatically follow you and attack any enemies that attack you.

Thanks to Abelhawk, the game has a movement system where you use the arrow keys to move your character around. This is so that you don't have to keep clicking on the screen to move him, because the camera is always centered on your character.

As for levels, there will be a variety of types of missions- siege offense and defense, large scale battles, adventuring around and fighting off small groups of bandits or gnolls, arena battles, and possibly duels.

Also, many doodads, such as trees, will be scaled more appropriately. In other words, some trees will be just as small as they are normally in wc3, while others will be about three times as big. Same goes for castles and other buildings. Once I get around to the mapmaking part, I'll post pictures for examples.

I have a friend working on the combat system used for this game, and I will update it on here as soon as he's informed me. And I'm also coming up with ideas for the camera.

Below are pictures of the three main characters. Kelendras' sword is from Hadeniaz's Spell Annihilator model.

What do you mean "all the time"? That Icewind Dale one was the only project I've started and not finished since I joined this site.

And besides, this one interests me a lot more than that.

Woah, that's confusing. I meant the section blizzard has on their website that explains the history of Azeroth. Is there a part like that on that site you gave me? cuz I couldn't find it...

About the Eredar Paladin, since I lost the model I was going to use for that, and since I changed the game quite a bit, I'm kind of thinking of getting rid of the Eredar thing, but I might still have him in there.

I'm going to chance another double post so that people pay a little more attention to my request in the last post.

The picture you see below is what was originall going to be Kelendras in a blood elf assassin suit. Since I've changed the story, I'm no longer going to have that, but Kelendras still becomes arch enemies with a blood elf assassin, so I might try to remake that suit for him instead.

Oh yeah, and also, I found a site that explains the history of Warcraft, so don't worry about that anymore.

Ah, no problem. Work hard, and you'll be amazed at what is the end result.

I was actually rather impressed with the last campaign I successfully finished about a year ago....
Unfortunately, it accidently got deleted when a guy was trying to fix my computer....
I wanted to sue him for wasting all the effort I put into it, but... well, I didn't, of course. Like anyone would take sides with me.

Actually, this campaign is kind of the same thing as that other one, just a better story and different characters. In the orginal one, it involved a nightelf who got imprisoned for thousands of years by demons, but he never met an eredar paladin (blizzard, of course, never announced their new alliance race back then).

Anyway, I've been working on story boards for a duel between Kelendras and a bloodelf assassin. I was originally just going to have the player kill him at the end of some level, but, since Kelendras and the assassin eventually become arch enemies and they are both expert swordsmen, I thought it would be cool to have a wicked awesome dueling scene between the two. It'll be pretty tricky though, so I might need a little help, but I won't worry about that 'till I've finished all the models and such.

Oh yeah, Moagrim, thanks a lot for that lore section thingy. I haven't checked it out too much yet, but I kind of skimmed over it, and It'll definetley be very useful. thnx :D

lol what if you make it that the blood elf he comes arch enemies with is like corrupted and turns into like a demon/blood elf

Nah, there are too many games and movies where the main badguy suddenly becomes super powerful, but the good guy beats him anyway. I'm just gonna stick with the fair fight thing.
