WoW Game Cards

Alright, I looked around on the internet and couldn't find anything that explained it. I just recently applied for a job, so I plan on paying for WoW by myself, but my parents won't let me get a debut card or anything until I'm older, so I plan on just using game cards. Could someone plz tell me how the WoW game card system works?

You buy a card for 60 days, you enter the code that's on the card on website or in game (sorry for not accurate info, but I haven't WoW), and play 60 days. Something like that :)

How much do they cost?
And uh.... by this method, Blizzard doesn't need my bank account number or anything like that, does it?

If you want me to state this clear to you then it's the same thing as buying credit balance for your cell phone. You buy the card, scratch it and insert the number. It costs a bit more than paying with a credit card.

Well, I don't have a cell phone, so I wouldn't know. I think they're a waste of money.

But anyway, thanks, that should probably be enough for me to figure it out. If not, then that's just sad.

Yeah, they probably will work in a similar way as telephone-cards, as mentioned above.

That has been my opinion for quite some time too, even after I got one. Lately I'm using my phone more than my computer though. Mind you, I hate calling.

Hey guys, sorry for reviving a relatively old thread, but I just recently went to Wal-Mart, and I saw what I'm pretty sure is the box thingy that holds the game cards. Someone had told me that they were supposed to be $16, but they were $29 something rather at Wal-Mart. Anyone know if I was looking in the wrong spot?
The game cards are in a box that has a bunch of WoW pictures on it, right?

Announcment: This is my 500th post!

good for you tenebrae :yay:

also i think they last 2 months and for 1 month it costs 16$ so 16+16=32 but oh well discount?
i think thats for 2 months

Yeah, but what i'm saying is, that's almost just as much as $15 a month, and I thought game cards were supposed to reduce the price considerably. Are the just supposed to be an alternative if you don't have a credit card or anything like that?

Ah.... well, that sure changes things.... Especially now that i'm going to have to brutally torture my friend for saying that it only costed $16 for two months. grrrr

Just kidding. I probably just misunderstood what he said...
