I don't know if you guys have been keeping up with Nintendo's next gen console, which for over a year was code-named "revolution."

Nintendo just announced the official name for the console will be "Wii" as in "we."

I have grand respect for nintendo and am still gonna buy revolution, but omfg "Wii" WTF NINTENDO!? Fuckin' cube 2 sounds better than "Wii".

i think its typical of nintendo. revolution is a sony or microsoft type name. i mean, come on, the makers of "Excite Bike" and the "Bomb-omb" and basically poorly translated english all over the place cant have a westernized name like "revolution," can they? honestly, i think thats the name of andre agassi's canon camera. think about it, its actually quite fitting.

It just goes to show that for Nintendo the US market is less and less important. Wii ..oh well. It's catchy and something to talk about. However long term I think people will just make fun of it here in the states.
