What size TV do you play Wii on?

42 inch (its not HD) for my wii since its in the main room but for the xbox about a 20 something inch im my room

They would if the Wii was even a HD console, its no where near HD. The pixels are a little smoother but not a great deal of diff running on 480p. You can notice the diff more if you play a Wii on a normal CRT type tv and then play the same game right after on a standard HD tv.

480p is sort of in between the 2 lowest average PC screen resolutions.

Average PC screen resolution 640X480 or 800X600 or 1024X768
480p = 704x480 standard or 720X480 Widescreen
720p HD = 1366X768 (most HDTV's are this)
1080p True HD = 1920X1080 (only true HD TV's are this, not many about)
