What about making a new device for Wii

I have been reading some threads here and there and got an idea..

Why not asking Nintendo to make an external hard drive to be used in conjuction with the internet web browser Opera it uses on the4 Wii?

At the moment looks like you can not download anything but just browsing around and ( I suppose write emails)..
Not very much with really what is possible to do in the internet.

It may be just one of my many dreams...

but what do you think of contacting Nintendo as a web community like we are here in Wii Pros and proposing to develop this idea??
Waiting for feedback :)

at the very least the should allow you to save pics

I don't think it's worth the 500 points because like I said you can't download pics or set pics as backgrounds so until you can I ain't buying it

And later on there would be Wii Worms, Wii Trojans, Wii Viruses etc. destroying games we have bought via Virtual Console... No thanks!

The reason why the Internet Browser won't let you downlaod is because:

1. Small children may use the Internet on Wii - they may end up downloading something like viruses, porn etc.
2. Yeah, viruses, no thanks.
3. It's pointless, you can do it on your PC anyway.

In my opinion, with the upcoming WiiWare and an increasing number of Virtual Console games, a WiiDrive (yeah, I named it already ;)) would be in place.

In fact, they have to! Sure, you can use an SD card, but 2 gigs extra just doesn't feel like enough.

Hmm the thing you say is that you have copied other peoples wish like my about usb hardrive compability. And then posted 2 threads about it.

And yeah if you want possibility to download it i higher chance if you redirect you're shop channel to some other site. That on at least have the possibility to write file's to the memory.
And if you make it work don't tell any one because then Nintendo will do all they can to stop it work.

Heh.. As I've said before, I would never need that kind of space, so I don't really worry about it much. Just opens up new problems as far as things going wrong..

I agree! If you want to download something do it on your PC. If don't posses one, make sure you get one.
