Sonic the Hedgehog 2 [b/]
Scoring Legend:
Graphics: How the game looks.
Sound: How the music and f/x fit the setting
Gameplay: How fun it is, difficulty, etc.
Replay Value: How fun it is to beat again
Sonic the Hedgehog. If any third party character could rival Mario, you've found him. A fast running, botnik destroying ball'o'spikes. Anyway, onto the review.
Graphics
Sonic 2 has very bright, happy backgrounds to dark gloomy ones too. Sprites here are drawn very well, and look great. For it's time, Sonic 2 had some pretty amazing graphics. But, they can be very cartoonish and childish at times. The graphics in this game, though, are done very well. Each level has different looks, and moods. An example is the first stage. A green, happy hilltop. Compared to Stage 2, a dark, gloomy factory, or something similar. A great contrast.
8.0/10
Sound:
I personally love the music in this game. Each level has music that perfectly matches. For example, Stage 4: Casino Night, has a very flashy background, with very casino-like music. It has matching slot f/x too, just to name a couple.
Review continued on next post, my Wii's slowing down from too much text, please dont post yet
