Sniper Back up weapon ?

I was doing a bit of sniping a found that i was dying before leaving my spawn, mostly because the M16 is arguably the worst weapon in the game.
I didn't want to buy a full priced rifle.
So any ideas for a cheap back up weapon ?
Or does everyone just buy a 800 plus GP weapon ?

...eeeh well in my case...i try to make a simple "mod" to my weapons...i always use the m16...cuz i have no gp left lol...and yes..is the worst wep in the game..so if u dont wanna buy a fullpriced gun...just spend 150 gp in a scope for your m16 and do your best...lol

Also another good thing to try is to buys a good CQC gun (SCAR, M4A1, K2, etc,) and buy a sniper as a backup. This way, if sniping turns out to be virtually non-existant at the time, you're always prepared to fight.

my thing is a GP sink, but here goes:

Main: K3
Secondary: SPAS-12
Melee:shovel
Support:smokes
Back-pack: L-9

a nice all-round choice I believe, I rarely have to mod my equiptment....

I usually just buy the MSG60 sniper or the L9 sniper with a SCAR or M4 (with an extended clip and scope) and it only runs me around 2,550 - 2,750 GP. You can earn that back in 15 - 25 matches easily. That's what I do and I always seem to end up with around the same amount or more GP when they expire.

Well, an uzi would be a good back up. It is below 800. It's 700. It's takes some time getting used to it. But, it's alright because once they are to close for you to use your rifle ,they will be close enough for you uzi.

That's not bad, however w/ hackers and glitchers its sometimes hard to find a good game. I tend to buy weaps for a week, i find its more economical that way.

well, the M-16's not THAT bad, I managed to get ultra-kill with it! with no mods!

anyway...

just get a pistol like the K2 and mod the S**t outta it, scope, etra clip, the works...that way you can snipe abit from medium(to long if you're steady) range and use the semi-auto ability as a mini rifle (about 350-800gp, depending on mods)

Here's what I run and about what it costs

Main: M416 W/ Iotech & Extended Mags [1,600]
OR
P90 [1,100]
Secondary: USP W/ Extends [550ish]
Explosives: Mines [300]
Backpack: L9 [1,100 I think]

Light armor is 500, plus my beanie is like 300.

So I spend about 5k ish when I outfit. I make about 7k in a few hours of play. You have 77k, why are you so worried about wasting money?

They're not gonna release a 100k gun

meh, Sr25 with a scoped K1 is cheap and very effective. the entire package comes in at 950+1100 for 2050. it's not the best, but's it's one of the cheapest. and both those weapons don't suck super when misused. no-scoping with Sr25 is wicked easy and the K1 is accurate enough at range and has a HAX small crosshair when moving

I use nx guns because I have spare nx so I don't have to waste gp. I currently have 130k GP
