Metal Gear Solid... 5!?

It was a while ago that rumours of Metal Gear Solid 5 were spinning around and they are getting even worse. There have been several hints dropped by Konami that there has been talk on writing the story. It was hinted shortly after the announcement of the iPhone and iPod Touch's new Metal Gear Solid game, Metal Gear Solid Touch which takes place in the universe and time of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and will consist of stages (levels) and controlled by the touch screen.

Rumours are again building up that Metal Gear Solid 5 could be a prequel again possibly to origins of Big Boss. A few months ago in an interview it was said:

There are some misunderstandings that this is the final Metal Gear game. But it's really the final chapter of the Solid Snake story. That's all.

Since we found out about Big Mama's "past" and things there could be more to unlock. To sort of clarify this earlier Payton stated:

There is still a lot of room for filling in the gaps as far as Big Boss is concerned...greatly, a lot of holes we can fill up in another game.

The last time the main rumours were flying around was in late June/July and again they have began circulating. It was mentioned in a Japanese magazine recently which causes some stir. But it's still a Question Mark as no details have been released yet officially.
