(Help) Internet channel free

When the internet channel comes out is was free, but now it cost 500 wii points, can i get it some how free, or i have to buy wii points?/

I'm pretty sure if you want it, you're going to have to pay. There was a trick to make the Shop channel a browser, but I'm not sure if that's possible with latest firmware even. You're better off just buying it... More features.

Yeh I saw where you can change your shop into a browser, Dont think it will work though.

I got it free back when it was free, i'm glad about that too, if I had paid for it I would have been seriously disapointed.

ive had my wii since march and then i downloaded the opera browser for it and yesterday i went round my friends to set up his internet for him and i went on the wii shop channel and it was 500 points i dont know why they didnt just keep it free cuz then its not fair on the people who dont have it cuz then sum people have to pay for it while others like me dont thats why im on this website getting stars so i can let my friend have the internet for free!!

It's not worth it. Slow frame rates, hard to navigate, and poor pixellation.
