Hard time connecting...?

MY wii takes a long time to connect to the wii shop channel why is that so? my internet connecton is strong.

Which type of connection are you using?
When using wireless you could have a slow network connection, casuing the net connection to be stream through at a slower rate.

Sometimes it gets slow for me, and I'm using the LAN adapter.. But it usually goes away.

It may be a firewall issue... I know at my moms house, Telus sent us a router and It came with a firewall... It was going slow for a while... then I got mad and finally did something. Lol.
