Animated Gif Making Program

Not quite sure if it's supposed to go in this forums, sorry if not.

Anyways, I would like to know a good program for making animated gifs ( for example like blizzards animated units gifs on strategy guide ). Does anyone know any?

Just plain old drawn pictures thingys?

Just use any freeware gif program on the net to put the pictures together then, I dont think there is a very big diference on the diferent programs within this.

But are there any other programs that don't require making 100+ screenshots and putting it alltogether wnich in the end looks bad? And could you give some names please?

Well those stupid looking animated gif's basicly is alot of images put together in the desired speed

Well I dont remember any names but go onto www.download.com and search for "gif animation programs" or something like that and some freeware and try out's will apear, take whatever you like from that list.
