The SG550 and the M416 which is better?

I have tried the SG550/556 and M416. I still find myself coming back to M416 I usually carry both versions. Recoil/Damage for my 2 cents worth seem to have the best balance for me.

Damage doesn't matter as much as you would think. They're both still 4 hit kills from full health. I think the deciding factor for me i that the M416 can carry more ammo. SG550 is hell of a gun mid-long range, but M416 is more rounded so M416 wins IMO.

M416 is better for the same reason in the real world people choose the Ak 47, its simple, pick up and use.
The SG550 has a smaller clip and the crossairs open up bigger than a MG if you spray at close range.
I found that the SG had more recoil in scope too.
It takes quite a bit of getting use to compared to the M416.
I agree with Moo, its better all round compared to the SG550

That pretty much sums it up... and it helps that it does a minimal amount more on the damage...
