How do you get into the BIOS to look at temp?

The BIOS can be accessed when you start your computer. You may see a reference to "setup" when you turn your computer on. That's your opportunity to get into the BIOS. It usually requires the push of a function key, such as F10, to get access to it. That "F" key varies between computers. Sometimes it's the ESC key or DEL key.

Then, tab over to the Power option. Next, go down to the Hardware Monitor option and hit Enter.
You're temps should be displayed there.

It sounds like you have multiple problems. The random slowdowns are usually anonther program doing something; for example internet explorer getting a new flash download and decompressing and running it in the background, or a virus scan running. Those two are as simple as making sure you have no other programs running.

My suggestion would be to start CZ then window out to watch your task manager for a while to note program spikes.

The slowdowns when things are happening on the screen range from anything between a dusty computer to having mis set something in CZ.

Do you run net_graph?
