How Can i create wc3 icons

hey guyz.... can anyone help me how to create an icon of wc3 units or spells...
I dont know how to do icons but i want to learn...
can anyone tell me...

Tutorials on art would be simple to learn, well depends. making an icon is simpley doing art, screenshoting units is okay but photo-edit it so it looks like an art, and for spells, well depends on what spell you are making.

Once you make an icon, I found this awesome little photoshop pre-made icon file thing... Its just a photoshop file you open up in Adobe Photoshop, and it has various extra layers you can decide to show or hide, all being different official warcraft III icon borders and filters. Ex: Normal, Disabled, Passive, even Upgrade borders! Download it here...

(many times when creating icons for units I zoom in on the unit in-game by making it change to a pre-set camera with triggers and take a screenshot of the unit, copy and pasting the units face for the icon, I found it to be the easiest and most accurate way, though it may take a few tries.)

Or just freehand your own picture, the image size is very small and easy to draw in.

hey lex, not everyone is an artist..i find it a struggle at times..
