ok, so ive got an old 256mb iriver mp3 player that im selling to this girl. i told her that because i have the product replacement plan thingy, i can get a brand new one to sell her (so i can get more money). i was just wondering what the best way to about doing this is. i dont want to make it look intentional, otherwise the company might not send me a new one. (also, will i need all of the original parts?) any help would be great, thanks guys

Well what conditions do your product replacement plan have? Make sure not to violate them in order to get the new player. Usually when you call customer service to call in the replacement, you should ask if they want just the player or the whole shabang. Hope this helps.

They usually give you some sort of RMA or Ticket Number to go with the return. Check to see if they do cross shipping (i.e. you ship the non-working one to them and they ship your new one at the same time) that way you don't have to wait for them to verify your broken mp3 player and you can get the newer one sooner. (though I doubt they will do cross shipping)

Good Luck! (also, maybe you can drop soak it in water, and say it accidently fell out of your pocket and dropped in the toilet... it happens more often than you think... but make sure it doesn't void your product replacement plan conditions...)
