Or be like 90% of the hardcore gamers and buy a mouse designed for on the fly DPI. For the lower end, I would suggest the OCZ Equalizer http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/ocz_peripherals/ocz_equalizer_laser_gaming_mouse Runs around 20-30 dollars, it's effective, has a few extra buttons and the DPI switch is easy access. Easy to install, the entire nine yards. It's a great starter mouse. Orrrr For about 40 dollars, the MX-518 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178 One of the best mice out there for the cash. There's newer versions of it, including one where you can customize the weight of the mouse, but I'm not that hardcore. The 518 has 8 buttons and feels great to the hand. On the fly DPI is kind of overrated, but I switch my sensitivity between games and normal desktop use pretty often. I turn my sens all the way down for when I'm in game, and it's normally almost all the way up for when I'm browsing the net.
