The Wii looks interesting. If you don't have to pay to download the previous Nintendo System games, then man that is awesome.
I still like a lot of games on the other systems, so I have no preference except to say the XBOX Systems are not worth the money.
We'll see what happens with the games released on the newer systems, till then I'm not prefering any of the main two

Not interested. They have to come from good places would they want to impress me. Lately, games just seem to lack something important, but I am not sure what it is. New consoles, game systems or even making it portable (though the last is a bit of a hesitating from my side) just doesn't seem to do the trick for me.

The "Wii" would be pronounced exactly as it is spelled out here. =) (except the double 'i') Haven't heard anyone mention it just yet, but then again, the people I hang out with aren't really focusing on such things.

I personally don't like any of the new consoles except for the wii. The ps3 is overrated and too pricy. And I hate the xbox 360. The original is alright even so I only play Clancy games on it anymore. But thats just my opinion. Hopefully this wont turn into a console war thread. The wii sounds fun to me but I shouldn't officially anything until I actually play it.

But Red steel. Very fun idea for an arcade like game. The sword fighting system may be the most creative thing i've seen in a long time.

Yeah, price affects a lot of things with these consoles. I'm supprised the PS3 charged so much! And the games aren't exactly cheap either.
Fladian, you said you prefer older games? What if downloading ALL of the super nes games ever made was for free on the wii? That would turn my head

i voted ps3 and wii just because i know i will end up getting a ps3 eventually and come on that poll has like 25 votes if you took it to something like facepunchstudios you would have a much more accurate reading

Playstation? No, I don't agree. I don't think there's anything that could be called 'the best' (or the 'only good'), except personal opinions. In that case, I (naturally) would go for the SNES of course.

But if you ask any hardcore gamer... they will still say ps3/360... Well, with the 360 maby not so much. It all depends though. But, lets get back on topic. This thread is about the wii.

eh hem remember kenneth i myself am a hardcore gamer, it doesnt really depend on how much they play but what they think is the best controller. most of the new games are made for all systems and the ones that are exclusive for each system are usually equal to the others
(ie Halo, GTA and FFs, and SSM and SMB)
untill now i prefered the simple playstation controller, but now the wii is even more simple i find many times when trying to aim on a fps or trying to do a certain move in thps that it would be simpler to do it in real life than pres x x x square triangle triangle O and now with the wii you can do that, not to mention most of the wii's games will be exclusive due to the unique controll, not only that the wii also has a normal controller and probably will have wii games without motion sensor. BTW that is flaming dont say anything if you have nothing good to say and
dont make pointless posts
