A troll is someone who messes with a person or sometimes an online community. They will think up of a scenario and bring it to a forum. If the other users fall for it they have successfully trolled that forum.

For example, a while back the online group 'Anonymous' successfully trolled Oprah. Oprah fell for it and actually spoke about the troll on national tv.. She did not know it was a troll when she said it.

The whole over 9000 penises thing was a troll. The over 9000 thing is a joke. They trolled her message boards, she fell for it, and spoke about it on national tv.

There are all different types of trolling though.
