Not worth it. Banjo-Tooie has too many memories for me, one of which, it serves as one of the fond memories of a friend who is no longer with me...

On a more positive note, I remember distinctly the level of enjoyment in the game's multiplayer.

Trust me, it's WORTH a try. AMAZING multiplayer, AMAZING game overall. A friend lent it to me years ago and I fell in love. I miss it terribly.
