Making water without the use of blizzard cliffs

This is a tutorial on how to make water without using the ugly cliffs that blizzard uses.
First off, you need to switch off the "Enforce Water Height Limits". This means you uncheck the setting.

Next, you need to make some water. It doesn't matter if you used deep or shallow water.

Then, fill it in until you have the normal height. (use raise height one for shallow, two for deep)
Now, the fun part. Use the lower function:

To get this kind of result.

When your finished and have done all of your water, it will look something like this:

And that's it! It's that easy.

Nothing new for an old terrainer like me. =)
Every map I start is always full with shallow water. I'll plan where to place some water and rise the terrain to avoid letting the terrain look flat, and I have all the water I need.

Good tutorial, though I knew all of this before. Like Fladian I always start with a map filled with nothing but water also though I use the deep water :)

A neat tutorial, I didn't know that you could do it that way.
Although I do sometimes use blizz cliffz since they create that kind of effect people seem to like now and then.
