He's good, but not amazing. Not saying I can do better, but I have seen better. For his age he's good, but (no racism btw) Asian children are typically pushed incredibly hard when learning theory and practical music, and punished extremely harshly for failure. I know this from experience. It's not just music, all study/work.

You gotta a point there, i've got family in Malaysia and it's a big deal if you get even a B. Plus unlike North America where we (generally) have lots of small exams then like a mid-term or a final worth like 20-40%, they just have a final worth 100%.
I'd say there lots more pressure to succeed, unlike here where nobody fails.

I was thinking more or less what you said when i read the you tube account description thingy.

However i can't say i've seen anything quite like that.
