Aim Logs...

Anyone know if there is a Aim Logger that is like Adware or, Spyware. It got added then deleted off my computer but, it still had a hidden file in my program folder. I don't know how the hell it got on there in the first place. It's made by Newsoft. I believe.

Aim Loggers are basically AIM chat taps that save your chat conversations to a .txt file that most server admins on classified networks use to make sure things shouldn't get out, or it can be used as a spy tool to do some pretty bad things.....i.e. if it was on your machine, then someone might be watching you who ain't a gov spook.......

Is there a way it could have been downloaded under another file off the net. I download alot and, I am just wondering if it might have been in there somewhere. Sorda like Adware, or spyware.

It has been know for certain ad/spy bots i.e. bonzi, sextracker, etc. to deploy such loggers to determine demographic data or for hackers/slicers to gain access to private information
